2011 Atlanta, November 10-13
Craig Joyce, chair of the Committee on Conferences and the Annual Metting reports: "In preparation for the 2011 meeting, the committee made two fly-in visits to Atlanta for on-site inspections (including one hard-hat tour) of the 16 properties identified by the third-party planner as alternatives. The site selected is the new Loews, opening in Midtown in April 2010. We have identified
nearby neighborhood attractions (the High Museum, the Botanical Garden, the Margaret Mitchell
House, etc.) as possible venues for the plenary session or other events. While not precisely the
Cradle of Liberty, see 2010 Meeting, Atlanta promises to be an exciting venue for 2011."

The American Society for Legal History's Annual Meetings Committee
solicits volunteers from the Society's friends to serve as local arrangements chair for the Society's
2011 and 2012 Annual Meetings. Interesting venues, affordable hotel rates and reasonable funding
support for meeting events are highly favored in site selection.
